·       Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood.

·       More than 38,000 blood donors are needed every day.

·       A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 units of blood.

·       More than 1 million new people are diagnosed with cancer each year.  Many of them will need blood, sometimes daily, during their chemotherapy treatments.

·       One donation can save the lives of up to three people.

Blood donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh more than 110 pounds,

and be in good general health.

A healthy donor may donate red blood cells every 56 days.

Donating blood is a simple and safe process.

A sterile needle is used only once for each donor and then discarded.

From the time you arrive until the time you leave is about one hour.

This year’s goal is 23 units.

The past few years, we have fallen short of our goals.

Please help us meet and exceed our goal!
